Govinda Shakti began in 2003 by the desire of His Divine Grace Srila B.A. Paramadvaiti Swami Maharaj. 
The initial group were Govinda das and Sridhar Kripa das. 
The first CD is called "ACINTYA" and was a simple production and they worked on easy memorizing mantras and rather smooth. 
The instruments used were the Sitar, Violin, Tabla and accessories. 

This group traveled as guest artists to several places such as Punta Arenas, Lima Peru, Argentina and Chile in general. 

And in 2005 two more members was joined; Vrajesvar Pandit das and Guillaume the last one of French nationality. In this way the group was enriched with elements such as various types of flutes plus percucciones and new musical horizons. 
With this 8 to 23 October, 2005, in front of the Municipality of Peñalolen launched a new CD called "Shabda" which received very good reviews for his elaborated material and be prepared for a more learned, including as theme "Withing you whitout you" from George Harrison an interpretation of ragas and bhajan plus instrumentals. 

With this new grouping was filming and at pair Govinda das recorded with His divine grace Srila Atulanada Acharya an CD entitled "40 verses of BHAGAVAD GITA" in which Govinda das sings the verses accompanied by sitar and tambour and Srila Atulananda Acharya recited the translation in form of trascedendental poetry.
The year 2006 would be a severe test for the group as Govinda das decided to go to Colombia to live with his wife and daughter.
As a result, the brakes of the group with the exception of Sridhar das who along with Guillaume recorded by a particular form an CD of short-term called "DESH" with Sarod and tabla, but ultimately there was not more music. 

Govinda returns in October 2007, began working with a new energy and formed a new group of Govinda Shakti this time with renewed ideas of fusion. 

The new members of the group are: 

Giriraj Das: singer, harmony, and dholak table. 
Gouracaran Das: vocals, percussion, accessories. 
Das Vrajapriti: bass, Kohl mrdanga, accessories.
The new format features a freedom of musical expression and quality musical shows by the musicians. 
So in this way does not take long to reach the third production of the group's latest CD in October 2008 and is called "NAVA JAUVANAM" name that would Atulananda Gurudev. 
This album includes songs in combination with harmony, bass, electric guitar, accessories, chorus, etc.. 

Currently the group is in constant shooting, including a presentation at the hotel "HYATT", and start traveling in Chile and the structuring of an upcoming album that will be announcing as fusion and musical joy.

El grupo Govinda Shakti comenzó en el año 2003 por el deseo de su divina gracias Srila Bhakti Aloka Paramadvaiti.

El grupo inicial estaba formado por Govinda das y Sridhar Krpa das.
El primer CD es llamado “Acintya” ,era una simple producción con trabajos de simple memorización de mantras . Algo bastante tranquilo.
Los instrumentos que se utilizaron en esta producción fueron Sitar, Violin , Tabla y accesorios.

La banda ha realizado giras como artistas invitados en diversos lugares tales como Punta Arenas , Lima Perú , Argentina y dentro de Chile.

Ya en el año 2005 dos miembros más se unieron a la banda , uno de ellos Vrajesvara Pandit das y Guillaume originario de Francia

De este modo el grupo de enriqueció con elementos como varios tipos de flautas , percuciones y un nuevo horizonte musical.

Luego del 08 al 23 de Octubre del año 2005 frente a la municipalidad de Peñalolen Govinda Shakti realizó el lanzamiento de su nueva producción llamada “Shabda” , con la cual recibieron muy buenas criticas debido a la elaboración de la obra . Esta obra incluyó temas como "Withing you whitout you" del renombrado cantante George Harrison , y una variedad de interpretaciones de ragas y bhajan , además de temas instrimentales.

Con esta nueva agrupación se grabó junto a Govinda Das y su Divina Gracia Srila Atulananda Acharya un CD titulado “40 Versos del Bhagavad Gita” , en el cual Govinda das canta versos en compañía de un sitar , tambores . Srila Atulananda recitó y tradujo la poesía tracendental.

En al año 2006 hubieron fuertes pruebas para la banda , ya que Govinda das decide viajar a Colombia junto con su esposa e hija.

Como resuntado de esto el grupo tuvo un quiebre con exepción de Sridhar das , quien junto a Guillaume realizaron un disco llamado “Desh” con Sharod y Tabla.

Luego de esta grabación ninguna otra fue realizada.

Con el retorno de Govinda das a Chile en Octubre del 2007 la banda comenzo a funcionar trabajando con una nueva energía y nuevamente se formó la nueva banda de Govinda Shakti , esta vez con renovadas ideas de realizar fusión.

Los miembros de este nuevo Govinda Shakti son:

Giriraj Das: voz, harmonio, and dholak tabla.
Gouracaran Das: voz, percusión, accesorios.
Das Vrajapriti: bajo, Kohl mrdanga, acesorios.

Este nuevo formato permite que haya libertad en la expresión musical y también permite expresar la calidad de los mismos musicos.

Asi , con este nuevo equipo de trabajo Govinda Shakti ha realizado su tercera producción llamado “Nava Jauvanam”,nombre dado por Srila Atulananda Acharya.

Este album incluye temas donde se combina el Armonio , bajo , guitarra eléctrica , accesorios , coro , etc.

En la actualidad el grupo se encuentra constantemente realizando presentaciones en el hotel “Hyatt” y ha comenzado una serie de giras dentro de Chile , con la cual se preparan para la venida de un cuarto album que representará la fusión y la alegría de la música.
